Dachigam National Park, Jammu Kashmir

Salim Ali National Park

Salim Ali National Park, formerly known as City Forest National Park is situated in Srinagar and features wildlife species such as the Hangul, Monal, Serow, and Snow cock to name a few. This National Park captures an area of 9.07 sq. km. and is easily accessible from Srinagar, the Capital city of Jammu & Kashmir.

Kishtwar National Park

Kishtwar National Park, also spelled as Kishtawar National Park is home to a varied species of wildlife such as the Black Bear, Brown Bear, Hangul Cervus or Kashmir Stag, Himalayan Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Ibex Capra, Kashmir Stag, Leopard Cat, Leopard, Markhor, and the Snow Leopard to name a few. Situated in the district of Doda just 40 kms north-east of Kishtawar District, this National park is known for its Waterfalls and Sapphire Mines of Paddar area and is ideal for Trekking. Established in 1981, Kishtwar National Park also features endemic birds such as the Flycatcher, Golden Eagle, Golden Oriole, Himalayan Monal Pheasant, and the Koklas.
